First Lady/Asst. Pastor, Evangelist Margarett Baker

Evangelist Margarett Baker is the youngest daughter of the late Claude Edwards and Lorene Auguste. She is a native of Center, Texas, while living her younger years in Copperas Cove, Texas. She is an Evangelist, the Assistant Pastor and founder alongside her husband, Pastor Calvin Baker, of Bethlehem of El Shaddai Ministries.

Because of the strict upbringings of her parents and grandmother, they instilled going to church at a very young age. After giving her life to Christ in 1987 at the age of 23, her spiritual journey began and the military was her vehicle to grow and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. Evangelist Baker began spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ wholeheartedly in August 1996 while stationed in Anniston, AL under the tutelage of Bishop Charles Gregory Sr. of Victory Headquarters Christian Center. Under this leadership, her  gifts begin to develop and she begin to embrace the true understanding of the ministry God had called her to.

In 2000, Evangelist Baker’s life took a different turn when she arrived to the island of Oahu. She served faithfully as an Evangelist and Jurisdiction Executive Board Chairlady for the Hawaii Jurisdiction Department of Women under the leadership of the late Bishop Paul L. Martin and then, Supervisor Mother Leila Ulufale of Prayer Center Church of God in Christ for six years.  She was appointed by her late spiritual father, Bishop Paul L. Martin and later, Bishop Jesse T. Wilson, Sr. and served as the Hawaii Jurisdictional/State Supervisor of the Department of Women Church of God in Christ for a total of eight faithful years.

In 2007, Evangelist Baker and her husband, Elder Baker were blessed, released and ordained by their then spiritual father, the late Bishop Paul L. Martin, and begin yet another journey as they birthed their own church, then El Shaddai COGIC. She also served as the Hawaii Jurisidiction Hospitality President,  National Adjutant, Department of Women’s President, Youth Department President, Evangelism Department President, local Administrative Assistant and Pastor’s Aide.

After  16-years of faithful servanthood in the Hawaii Jurisdiction COGIC, God directed her husband, Pastor Calvin Baker and her to take yet another faith step in the Kingdom. With the leading of the Holy Spirit, they changed their church name to Bethlehem of El Shaddai Ministries and in November 2017, they were ordained under their now spiritual parents, Bishop Michael “Hurricane” and Evangelist Katherine Henderson of New Life Body of Christ. God has continued to bless their family as she proclaim the gospel and calling with an evangelistic thrust winning souls, evangelizing and preaching the unadulterated truth.

Under her new business, “Inspirations by Margarett,” she has begun writing a series of books which will continue to be used as a means to make a difference in a world that desperately need God. Her Christian business includes Christian crafts/arts, furniture, decorating & design, and many other treasures God has gifted her to do.

Evangelist Baker oversees her  Women’s Ministry called H.E.A.L. Ministry which stands for “Helping womEn to wAlk in their deLiverance.” Through this ministry, she passionately works in deliverance ministry and outreach to help women and children of abuse, neglect, rape, etc. This ministry continues to be the outward arms to reach a community overshadowed by women and children of all walks and cultures who live in bondage from these physical mishaps and setbacks.

Evangelist Baker has experienced many health challenges and life changes, but continues to take the ultimate steps in the ministry God has placed in her hands. As a living, walking testimony and soul winning mentality, she continues to train and develop others to make a difference in Kingdom Building. She strives to touch the lives of the believer and unbelievers alike.

She is an entrepreneur, licensed cosmetologist, and former owner of two Christian salons.  She has a background in Real Estate, Medical Assistant, Psychology, Sociology, Human Services and a Bachelor of Science in Management/Business. She has served her county and is a Veteran of the U.S. Army. Her husband and her have 10 children Jamorrious, Donnorrious, Calvin Jr., Chelsea, DaiCorri, Michael, Catriece, Diamond, Tie’la,  and Cal’von and truly sees herself as blessed beyond measure.
