The Department of Women’s overall mission is to support the vision God has given our Pastor, Elder Calvin Baker for the church, which is to save, equip and evangelize. Evangelist Margarett L. Baker, our Assistant Pastor and 1st Lady spearheads this great Department of Women with an evangelistic thrust and heart for empowering the women under her leadership. Her belief is that we as a body, should always strive to live a life which is pleasing to our God, the Father. As believers, we have a responsibility not only to God’s people, but to God Himself. Romans 12:1 states “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy , acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” 1 Timothy 4:12b states “…but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” It is the responsibility of this department to ensure leaders are trained and equipped to make a difference in those who are nonbelievers. We as holy women of God are the only Bible some people may read. Many women may be drawn to us by the spirit in which we present. Our mission is to promote a consistent prayer life, encourage others to make a difference, build character and self-worth and strengthen the young women and women’s relationship with Christ. As over comers, we should be able to share through experience how to go through by the word of our testimonies. We are held accountable to our leadership in word and deed, therefore, as women of faith, we teach accountability; to God, family, and the church
